Roberts has more than 30 years of experience in the field of business data processing, systems analysis, technical support, and project management. He has more than 23 years experience in trade show and meeting registration management. His knowledgebase with regard to registration processes (from Internet registration to onsite registration) along with lead retrieval technologies including his patent pending RFID technology, It's All in the Badge tm, makes him a leader in the field of trade show registration and exhibitor lead management.
A core element of the data network design will be Smart City Networks’ Vice President of Technology, David Langford. Degreed in communications systems management, Langford cut his teeth early on with the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Network & Services project, where he served as a leader in the Network Operations Center deploying the first national pre-Internet high-speed IP infrastructure. In the mid-90s, he developed the Sales Engineering division at AOL. Building from that, he joined UUnet Technologies and built a team that traveled with FORTUNE 500 companies to support their events, installing temporary data network capabilities often where none existed.
Paulette Norman, Vice President of Marsh Affinity Group Services, oversees the Special Risk Unit, which includes the ExpoPlus Plan. Her professional experience includes 16 years exclusively with the ExpoPlus program, which was started by Albert H. Wohlers & Co. in 1979 and has since grown to an industry-leading insurance product through excellent customer support and a dedicated, knowledgeable staff. A recognized expert in the field of event cancellation insurance and an active member in multiple industry-leading organizations, Norman has participated as both speaker and exhibitor at numerous conferences and association gatherings for meeting organizers/planners. Working with many large and small clients from trade show organizers to nonprofit associations, she has acquired a knowledge base to meet the unique needs of the diverse client groups throughout the meeting and exhibition industry.
Kathleen Thomas joined Berkery, Noyes & Co. LLC in 2003 from Veronis Suhler Stevenson, where she served for nine years specializing in mergers and acquisitions advisory in the business-to-business communications segment, with expertise in magazines, newsletters, trade shows, conferences, seminars and the outsourced services that support these businesses. She has been instrumental in the successful completion of more than 50 transactions, including the Forstmann Little investment in ENK International, the sales of McGraw-Hill's Healthcare Information Group, Boucher Communications to Wolters Kluwer Health, National Roofing Contractors annual trade show, MedQuest Communications, Expoexchange trade show services, Asset Alternatives publications & conferences, Mealey's Publications & Conferences, among many others.
In addition to her sell-side representation, Kathleen has very deep buy-side experience, advising Hanley-Wood in the acquisitions of Surfaces, NSPI, and Remodelers trade shows, Journal of Light Construction, Pool & Spa, Aquatics, Multifamily Executive and Public Works magazines, among many other buy-side assignments.

Jeff Quade, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, is responsible for all exposition sales and national account management as well as corporate marketing activities. Fifteen of Quade's 20 years of exhibition and event experience have been at GES, holding a variety of sales and management positions in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Portland.
Quade is involved with leading industry organizations and serves on IAEM’s board of directors and educational committee. Quade received his bachelor of science degree in Industrial Management from the Oregon Institute of Technology. He and his wife Vickie are the parents of two children.
